Google Business Profile Support: How to Get Help

Where to get Google Business Profile help: the Help Centre, the community forum, and what we could and couldn't find about phone support.

Part of our complete guide: Google Business Profile Setup Guide for UK Businesses

For Google Business Profile support, start with Google’s Business Profile Help Centre and its community forum. No Google page we checked lists a phone number for Business Profile support.

This guide is part of our Google Business Profile setup guide. It sets out the official places to look, says plainly what we couldn’t confirm, and points you to the right page for common problems. We only state what Google has published, and we link to it.

Start with the Help Centre

Google’s Business Profile Help Centre is the official home for help articles. It covers verification, guidelines, suspensions, closing a profile, reviews and more. Many of the questions owners ask are answered there in Google’s own words.

If you are searching for a specific problem, the help pages are usually quicker than a forum thread. They are also the source we use throughout this series, so the advice matches what Google says rather than what somebody once guessed.

Try the community forum

Google runs a Business Profile community forum. Google’s developer support page links to it as well (Google developer support).

A forum is a good place to see whether other owners have had the same problem and how they dealt with it. Remember that forum answers come from other users, and the advice varies in quality. Check anything important against the Help Centre before you act on it, especially if it involves changing your business name or address.

Is there phone support?

Many people search for a Google Business Profile contact number. We looked, and no Google page we checked lists phone support for Business Profile. That is all we can say. We aren’t going to claim that phone support exists, and we aren’t going to claim it was withdrawn, because we found nothing from Google that says either.

Be wary of any website offering a “Google Business Profile helpline” number. We have no way to confirm such a number belongs to Google, and the official help pages don’t list one. If you decide to ring a number you found online, check where it came from first.

Is there a contact form?

A contact form is reported to exist, but the page sits behind a sign-in we couldn’t read. So we can only say this: Google’s help pages may offer a contact form once you’re signed in. The way to find out what is available for your account is to sign in and open the Help Centre.

We won’t describe menu paths or button names for it, because we haven’t seen them ourselves and Google can change them. If the Help Centre shows you a contact option, use that.

If your profile is suspended

A suspension is a special case with its own process. Google’s suspension help page describes an appeals tool and the evidence it may ask for. We have written a separate guide on this: Google Business Profile suspended: how to appeal.

If you can’t tell whether your problem is a suspension or something else, our guide to a profile that isn’t showing walks through the checks in order.

If you want to remove or close a profile

Closing or removing a profile has its own help page, and the details are easy to get wrong. Our guide to deleting a Google Business Profile covers who can do it and what stays visible afterwards.

Questions about who has access

Many support questions turn out to be about access: who owns the profile, who manages it, and how to add or remove someone. Our guide to the Google Business Profile manager role explains the difference.

When a human second opinion helps

Sometimes the problem isn’t a missing support number but a profile that needs looking at by someone who works with them every day. Our local SEO services and local SEO in Cornwall pages explain how we help businesses with their profiles, and you can get in touch if you want us to take a look. We can’t speak for Google or contact Google on your behalf, and we won’t pretend otherwise. What we can do is check your profile against Google’s published guidelines and tell you what we see.
